June 15, 2021

Hello WE Family and Friends,

As part of our WE Cares initiative for June, there is still time to join us for our 2nd Annual Virtual Walk. In addition to the many benefits walking offers – from improving cardiovascular health to easing stress and enhancing sleep – your participation in this year’s event also benefits the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research

A part of the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Health & Wellness Center, the Ludeman Family Center is at the forefront of women’s health issues, delving into the biological differences between males and females and how those distinctions may impact the treatments women receive. The Center is also well regarded for its mentorship and funding of the next generation of researchers, supporting their cutting-edge exploration into the issues that pose a significant threat to women including cardiovascular disease and diabetes, as well as the toll disease may have on women’s mental and physical health.

HR best practices include not only equitable hiring opportunities, but also promotion opportunities for diverse talent.

Equality is providing equal opportunity for all; Equity is meant to fill the gap where equality may have not been obtained.
