“Like too many large organizations, particularly those in high tech, we are underrepresented with women in leadership positions. With the ongoing ‘war for talent,’ addressing this untapped reservoir of talent is critical for our ongoing sustainability. Women in Electronics has been instrumental in supporting Digi-Key through membership benefits such as establishing mentoring relationships, to providing us speakers and resources that we can utilize on-site at our facility.” said Dave Doherty, President & COO of Digi-Key Electronics. National Mentoring Month takes place in January and is a campaign dedicated to recognizing mentoring and the impact it can have on people’s lives. Whether it’s developing employees, supporting young people, or inspiring and preparing college students, mentoring enables people to unleash their full potential by learning from others.

Established in 2002 and recognized yearly by the US President and Administration, National Mentoring Month is a time to celebrate the power of mentoring and encourage others to explore how mentoring programs can enable organizations to create more productive, engaged and satisfied people.

Help someone reach their goals - get involved in mentoring! WE is still accepting mentor applications for the next round beginning in February.
